Voter Registration
To vote in an election you will need to register to vote in Washington State.
Are you already registered? Make sure your address is up to date!
July 24, 2023 - Primary election deadline for online and mail registration or updates
Online and mail registrations must be received eight days before Election Day
August 1, 2023 - Primary election deadline for in-person registration or updates
October 30, 2023 - General election deadline for online and mail registration or updates
Online and mail registrations must be received eight days before Election Day
November 7, 2023 - General election deadline for in-person registration or updates

In Washington State it’s easy to vote early!
July 14, 2023 - Primary election first day to vote
Start of 18-day voting period (through Election Day). Ballots are mailed out and Accessible Voting Units (AVUs) are available at voting centers.
If sending your ballot through the US Mail, be sure to give it plenty of time. We suggest sending your ballot at least two weeks before August 1st. Alternatively, drop your ballot in one of our 13 county drop boxes.
August 1, 2023 - Primary Election Day
Deposit your ballots in an official drop boxes by 8 p.m. Find your closest drop box location here.
October 20, 2023 - General election first day to vote
Start of 18-day voting period (through Election Day). Ballots are mailed out and Accessible Voting Units (AVUs) are available at voting centers.
